Powder-coated 40oz Hydro Flask with Memento Mori script and skull motif
This was built on a classic 40oz Hydro Flask water bottle. The base started with Intense Blue. Ink Black was layered as a mid coat. Soft Satin White was applied as the top coat, then distressed with Black Jack to create a worn gradient look.
The “Memento Mori” script was masked to expose the blue beneath. The back side has symbolic images traditionally used in classical paintings as quiet reminders of mortality.
This piece was originally made in 2019. I stripped it after a few months of use. The design stayed with me. The message still holds.
